Rasika Ajotikar, Department of Development Studies, SOAS University of London, United Kingdom

Rasika Ajotikar is an ethnomusicologist currently working as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the department of Development Studies, SOAS University of London. She has been working with activists and musicians from an anti-caste movement in contemporary western India and is interested in the modern history of cultural movements. Her current project examines the rural and urban manifestations of hereditary artisanship as it relates to issues of labour and caste in modern western India.
