The source material for Schütz's Easter concerto Christ ist erstanden, preserved in the Landesbibliothek in Kassel (D-Kl Ms mus. 52b), contains a figured bass part written in the 1640s by Georg Hartmann and a different version of the 'Eingangs-Sinfonia.' The article shows that this sinfonia was taken from a part of Andreas Hammerschmidt's Dialogi, 1645, and discusses the reasons for this revision of Schütz's original.
