Abstract

Dieses Papier beschäftigt sich mit den sozialen und praktischen Folgen der autonomen Schifffahrt und Digitalisierung für Seeleute. Ziel ist es, eine Grundlage für weitere Diskussionen, Forschung und Strategieentwicklung zu bieten. Die Auswirkungen der Digitalisierung und insbesondere der autonomen Schifffahrt auf Seeleute sollen in den weiteren Kontext des Schiffsbetriebs gestellt werden und dabei die Digitalisierung von Schiffen und deren Systemen, die digitale Transformation des Schiffsbetriebs, die größere Autonomie der Schiffe und ihrer Systeme, den sich neu abzeichnenden Trend zur Zusammenarbeit zwischen landgestützten Betriebszentren (Remote Operating Centers, ROCS) und schiffszentrierten Input berücksichtigen und in einen Zusammenhang bringen.
